Riser Analysis

Our engineering capabilities make us able to design riser configurations to determine the structural performance for a full range of riser types including flexible, rigid and hybrid riser systems. We do riser FEED work in collaboration with project teams. relevant industry codes used include; API-RP (2RD, 2AWSD, 17B and 17L2) and DNV (OS-F201, RP-C203)

FPSO Design And Mooring Analysis

We provide floating structure design services and carry out several analysis types including ship RAO calculations, mooring analysis and stability analysis. We establish the coordinate system for the floater and obtain hydrodynamic database of the ship hull (RAOs and QTFs) from AQWA-Line motion analysis.

Finite Element Analysis

Our core analysis expertise is in the use of Finite Element Analysis (FEA). As an increasing number of industry specifications are tailored to finite element analysis methods, we are experienced in establishing the model setup and extracting the results according to the requirements of the specifications. Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis

Our computation fluid dynamics (CFD) experts perform a full range of combustion, fluid flow, heat/mass transfer, and fluid structure interaction simulation and analysis.

CFD applications include the following:

  • Steady-state, transient, and combustion flows and heat transfers.
  • Flows and heat transfers under inviscid, viscous, and compressible flow conditions.
  • Multiphase, multi-fluid, and multi-physics 
  • Internal/external flows with turbulent,

Offloading Hose Engineering

Global Analysis

we carry out analysis with a dynamic computer simulation software called OrcaFlex to verify proposed hose suitability, stability and recommend design modifications as appropriate. We utilize terminal specific data, like Metocean and CALM Buoy and tanker RAO mostly provided by Client.

Interference Analysis

For subsea hoses/pipes, we verify the effects of hydrodynamic interaction and strip theory on collision of parallel string. We run mathematical model on strings to predict the deflection when subjected to load, including when the floating structure offsets. Based on the results we design the framework of the operability envelopes and recommend correct installation method and boundary conditions.

Our proficiency in the use of the OrcaFlex software equips us with the skills to handle a wide range of global dynamic analysis such as global interference, VIV, Modal, fatigue analysis, including code checks and compliance.
